Use of Artificial Intelligence (Giftie)
Super Gifters offers an optional AI-powered chat assistant named Giftie to help you discover gifts, learn about products, and get storefront guidance. Giftie is not used for automated decision-making about you (such as credit, employment, or legal outcomes) and is not classified as a high-risk AI system under the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act).
- Giftie suggests products from our catalog, answers questions about customization and storefront features, and can help with general support topics when you choose to use it
- Giftie runs in a chat panel on our Site (sparkle button, bottom-right). You are always informed that you are interacting with an AI system before and during use
- Giftie cannot place orders, access payment card details, or guarantee real-time stock availability
Data processed when you use Giftie
- When you send a message to Giftie, we transmit your message text, recent conversation history in that session, and limited page context (such as the product or page you are viewing, your cart summary when logged in, and your selected language) to our servers to generate a reply
- We do not send your full payment card numbers or passwords to Giftie or its AI provider
- Conversation data may be logged temporarily for abuse prevention, quality improvement, and support investigations, consistent with our data retention practices
Third-party AI provider
- Giftie is powered by Google Gemini, a third-party large language model API operated by Google. Message content and the context described above are processed by Google to produce responses, subject to Google's terms and privacy policies for API customers
- We configure Giftie with store-specific knowledge and safety rules; Google does not use your chats to train public models when accessed through our paid API integration, per Google's current API data-use terms (review Google's documentation for the latest details)
Limitations and your choices
- Giftie may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. Verify prices, availability, and policy details on the relevant product or checkout pages before purchasing
- Giftie is a limited-risk AI chatbot under the EU AI Act transparency framework. We label it clearly, disclose that outputs are AI-generated, and provide human support alternatives (Live Chat, tickets, email, and phone)
- Using Giftie is optional. You can shop, customize products, checkout, and contact support without using Giftie
- You may stop using Giftie at any time by closing the chat panel. To request deletion of account-related data, contact us as described below
When you open Giftie, we display a notice that you are chatting with an AI assistant. This transparency measure aligns with EU AI Act Article 50 obligations for AI systems that interact directly with people.
